Sebastian Sussmann [Sebi]

has numerous years of IT and software development experience in offshore business both in Europe and Asia. He is working for Axon Active Vietnam as CIO and Trainer. He has worked several years in all Scrum roles in local and distributed teams such as Developer, Scrum Master and Product Owner.

Sebastian has proven experience in building and coaching both on-site and distributed Scrum and Agile teams in Asia and Europe.

He also coaches Scrum process and Agile thinking for students of several universities in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and Can Tho. Besides the training, he is also the founder of Scrum Breakfast in Da Nang & Ho Chi Minh City, AnScrum in Vietnam and frequent speaker in Agile Tour and Scrum Gathering around the world. Sebastian is a Licensed Trainer (SA-LT) by Scrum Ambassadors.

During the time that I have been working with Scrum and understanding more and more the Agile mindset. A lot of things changed for me and also for my work.

If I look back, this is really a continuous process that will never stop. Since I started to share my knowledge, I can see that this made a big positive influence for other people and also for me. I like to help other people to learn from my experiences, so that they maybe do not have to take all the pitfalls that I did and can grow faster than it was possible for me.

But I also want them to make mistakes, because it’s important to learn by oneself but we should do it fast.

I can see this is happening that I can support and coordinate the way so that they don’t have too many obstacles in their way. I can see that self-organizing is a key not only in productivity but also in satisfaction and happiness.
